Almost Easter!!

Bex has had a wonderful Saturday before Easter. We haven't dyed eggs YET but we did go to The Shake Shack which is Topher's favorite restaurant in New Haven. You can see the picture below of the boys in their matching shirts with Topher teaching Bex to dip his finger in the ketchup and then licking it. We also went to buy Topher some new running shoes and Bex insisted on trying some shoes on too. He walked all over the store with those shoes on. I also included a picture of Bex checking out an Easter rabbit that he got from his Grandpa in LA!

Stepping Stone

We headed down south this morning to check out a children's museum in Norwalk. It is called Stepping Stone Children's Museum and although it was mighty pricey it was awesome. Topher didn't even hate it! Bex had a great time fishing, working with tools, baking a pie, and did some pretty great work with balls and water in the Energy Lab (note his fabulous blue lab coat in some of the pics). It is starting to feel like spring, despite the snowy forecast for tonight.

First Signs of Spring!!

We officially have the very first signs of spring. Notice that Bex is still bundled up because it is still cold BUT, we saw the first flowers popping out of the ground. Bex got so excited that he had to get down really low and smell them. Apparently these little buggers are called Croci!! Funny name- but I couldn't be happy to see them. I know that I shouldn't really complain when my family is in Alaska (although they did just get back from Maui) but it has felt like a long winter here in CT. March is supposed to enter like a lion and leave like a lamb- there hasn't been a lamb in sight!!

Baby's First Wig

We busted out Baby's First Wig again this weekend when we couldn't find Bex's other hat. It is quite fetching and it matches his winter coat perfectly! He was hilarious in it. Thanks to Auntie Lia who made this for him when he was just a baby- turns out that it doubles as Toddler's Second Wig.

We had a special treat of Clare coming over for a bit the other night. Her parents were out and about so she came over and spent a little time with Bex. They had a great time and more than once- Clare decided that she would sit in Bex's lap while they had a snack. They are pretty damn cute together...

Hammockery

Sorry that I've been so bad at posting lately. We have been a little busy here in CT. We are constantly looking at houses to buy, which is very exciting and we've had visitors too. Grandma from California came to visit and we are supposedly having Uncle Colin visit in a few weeks (although I won't believe this, until I see it!) I promise that we have had lots of fun despite being a bad blogger. Here is just one example of what we have been doing to keep ourselves entertained.
