Pet that zoo

We have been doing a good job of getting Bex and Clare together since we have pulled Bex away and into a different school. Last week we went to a end of the summer festival which had the giant slide featured on the last post as well as a petting zoo (which will be featured below). This fall is going to be a busy one in terms of travel- I am heading to SF in late October to visit the newly arrived baby Stella (Topher bought me a ticket to see Mary and her newborn for my birthday), then in mid-December I'm going to New Orleans for a conference and then Topher booked our flights to LA for Christmas so we will get to see the LA relatives.

Towel Time

Bexy has been really into the new discovery we made- one of his towels doubles as a COAT! He thinks it is hilarious to jump out of the bath and put on his funny coat. He runs around the house with the little hood on and his arms out. He practices his snapping skills in the front and his silly skills everywhere else.

Labor Day

We headed over to Clare-Bear's house for a Labor Day BBQ. Bex had a great time running around with Clare (noodle) and Asher (puppy). Again, it began with Bex getting naked- but this time he somehow ended up with Clare's shirt on at the end. It was very nice to see friends and eat lots of delicious food. We brought pigs in blankets and Bex was very excited to eat "little hotdogs in tiny buns." Bex is also settling in at his new school. We were pretty worried about the food program because they make all the food that the kids eat, therefore Bex no longer eats a yogurt every day for lunch with hummus and crackers or left over mac-n-cheese. He has been doing great with the food, his naps, and the potty. He continues to be the sweetest boy ever. Pics below are from the labor day picnic.

NOT ready for fall

It feels like it is going to be a very premature fall this year. Despite the fact that I really do love fall here with the amazing trees and colors and weather- I'm not quite ready for summer to be over. It is the last weekend that the pool club is open and it has been thunderstorms on and off all afternoon. Topher, Bex and I did manage to hit up the farmer's market this weekend and with only 12$ in our pockets we got pretzel rolls, salad mix, and heirloom tomatoes. I had to pass on the delicious blueberry lemonade this time (Susan turned mo onto this amazing beverage when she was visiting!) Below are some pics on our way to the market.
