The Keller-Carroll clan had a pretty awesome long weekend. We headed to the Yale Outdoor Education Center- which is just a fancy name for a kick ass lake, cabins, camp ground that Yale owns. You can only get in with a Yale ID and it is only about an hour away from our house. We went up there this weekend with some friends of ours and there kid, Claire, who is in Bex's class at school. The lake was awesome and I got to fulfill a life-long dream of paddle-boarding!! Bex played in the water and had a great time looking at the two little goats on the property. We were all a little bummed that we discovered this place on the last weekend of the summer that it is open. Here are some pics- starting with me driving the new Prius, looking very New England. Ending with Bex being totally worn out on the way home.
That totally sounds way cooler than you described on the phone. At least you have a little fun spot to look forward to hanging out some more. Maybe it is pretty in the fall? Ice skating in winter?
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks like a great place. What a wonderful Labor Day Weekend--almost as much fun as the moose barbeque.

Is it open in the fall and spring, or only the summer? What a nice "perk" for the workers and their families! "Tired but happy"--Daddy too.
