Party Time

This weekend was full of birthday parties. I guess that age three is the age that kiddos (and their parents) get really into birthdays. We went to one birthday party at Monkey Joes, the indoor inflatable slide and bounce house and then another one at a friend's house. It was actually really fun to see all the kids playing and to at least meet some of the other parents. Here are some picture of Bex at Monkey Joes and also at work with me on Saturday :)

Bex had a blast at the indoor jumping arena here called Monkey Joes. The evidence of his excitement is in the pictures- I could not for the life of me get a single picture with his face in focus (he was moving too fast). He is getting VERY fast and runs around the house every night "getting crazy" with us.

Second- I will give everyone the sicky sucky update of this weekend. On Thursday night I felt a little dizzy, weird but not a big deal. I woke up on Friday and I was also dizzy but didn't think too much about it and went to work. The dizziness kept getting worse until I was gripping the walls in hopes of trying to get the world to stop spinning. To make a long story less long, I couldn't keep anything down and ended up in the ER that night and was admitted to the hospital where I stayed for two nights. Topher and I calculated that they pumped me full of at least 5.5 liters of fluids to combat the dehydration. In the ER I ended up having a completely normal brain scan (I need to call and try to get those images- I totes want to see my brain) which is a relief. It was pretty horrible but I'm home now and trying to recover. I got mixed diagnoses from several doctors but the one that I'm going with is a viral inner ear infection (vesicular neuritis) that threw my equilibrium for a loop-da-loop. Some of the docs said the recovery would be a few days others said up to a few months- which I cannot even imagine at this point! I'm home from work this week trying to recoop and doing ridiculous vesicular "exercises" which consist of making myself dizzy and then trying to convince myself that the world is in fact stable. Our most wonderful friends, Jeff and Rene, picked Bex up from school on Friday and he stayed there both nights while Topher stayed with me at the hospital. Happy Birthday Toph!

It was Toph's birthday last Sunday and he was in the process of recovering from a stomach bug that left him and Bex throwing up. Bex and I did manage to make a cake and Bex thought it was just about the best thing in the world.

Hartford Science Center

Everyone should come visit so that we can take you to the Hartford Science Center. Bex and I are big fans!

School Daze

Quinnipiac starts tomorrow!! It hasn't even started and yet I feel like this...

Cookie Monster

Bex is obsessed with baking and cooking. He has a game on the iPad where he can cook any kind of breakfast that he wants. He also has the EasyBake iPad game where he can cook up loads of delicious treats. The other day we were going to make cookies and before I even got downstairs, he had all of the ingredients out including the vanilla! It is sometimes hard for him to watch the goodies go into the oven, but then the beaters come in very handy.

Monkey Joes

We discovered a new indoor bouncy house haven. It is called Monkey Joes and it is one crazy place! There are bouncy slides everywhere and the Toddler area is awesome (although of course Bex was not that interested in the little kid area). It was insane with all the older kids and I think that I will only be able to go again right when it opens to avoid the crowds- I am a Keller after all! Bex had an awesome time and next time he wants to bring Clare or Asher!

Snow Time

The weather has been wacky around here. Snow, then melting, then freezing, than warm, then snow... repeat. We lucked out on our snow skiing adventure to Mount Snow (ridiculous name huh?) in Vermont. We got a half day of skiing in while our friends watched Bex and we even got Bex on some skis but I don't have the pictures from our friends yet. California Dreamin'

We have returned from our California adventure and we are back to the butt-cold. I know that I shouldn't complain considering that my family is up in AK but it feels cold here! Bex was an amazing traveler (as you can see from the pics below). He basically can use the iPad more efficiently than me now and he knows my four digit password to unlock it too. He had a great time in the airports and he went bonkers when he saw Colin's sandbox (the beach). We are missing everyone in Cali already and I hate being so far from the AK festivities- it never really feels like Christmas unless I am there.
