Playing catch up

Just a few more pics from our trip to Hawaii. He was hilarious on the grass the first time I put him down. He was very confused and tried to get off. Eventually he warmed up to he though (the innertube-o-fun definitely helped). He was also surprisingly interested in the fish at the aquarium. I think that he is getting old enough to be more excited about the world. Lastly, my Dad babysat while Lia and I went snorkeling!

Airplane baby

Still posting some pics from our trip to Seattle and Hawaii. Here are two pics of Bex on the airplane. He liked looking out the window but for the most part the motion made him sleepy. Note how giant is he in my arms... now imagine holding that position for hours on end so as not to wake him (super fun!) In Seattle Bex started this new sleeping position with face in the blankets and butt straight up in the air. Bizarre, but apparently comfortable. The last pic is of Bex with Jenny Wellman's kids at their unicycling performance!

Spring has sprung

It has been absolutely gorgeous here since we have gotten back. Apparently there is a saying around here that March starts like a lion and ends like a lamb (or something like that) and so far it has been true. There are flowers springing up everywhere and we have been going on wonderful warm walks in the evenings after work. There may be something to an East Coast spring and summer after all. Here are a few pics of our walk tonight with the newly purchased BOB stroller.

Beach Baby

We just got back from our big trip to Seattle and Hawaii. I wish that I would have taken more pics in Seattle but I just didn't make it happen. Bex got to meet a TON of people in Seattle and even got to spend a little QT with the bride and groom in the bridal suite (I know, very posh for a man of his size). It was really wonderful to see so many of my good friends. Topher also got a real treat and went to Colin's sister's kid's unicycling performance (yes, you read correctly). He has some pretty awesome footage on his phone. After Seattle, Topher headed home and Bex and I went straight to Maui!! We had a tough flight down with Bex's first ever vomit. It went everywhere and I will spare you the details of me cleaning him and myself up in the airplane bathroom without a changing table (awesome). Once we made it there it was fabulous and we had a such great time with my family. It was nice to have so much help with Bex! We did a lot of exploring of the grass, beach, and ocean (Bex not so much of the ocean part- at least not without high pitched screams). Here are a few pics of Hawaii with more to come. ps. 21 hours of flying home was a piece of cake with a very sleepy baby and extra leg room!

Talking

Just in the last few days Bex has completely changed verbally. He went from sounding like a bird to chatting like a little boy. Evidence below...

Nom nom

Bex has gotten to be quite the eater of solid foods lately. He even sits up at the table in a high-chair at restaurants now. We can almost always give him something to gnaw on and try which is fun. I think that his all time favorite is still french toast that his grandma made us. We still have some in the freezer that he gets for dinner sometimes. He also feeds himself at daycare from his bottle. He looks a bit like Jabba the Hut because he leans back in his chair with his giant belly up and he props his bottle up and just pounds down the milk. Here are some cuter pics/movies of him eating.
